The Prince George Tennis Club is proud to announce a full season of Spring and Summer Tennis Lessons for all ages and abilities!

  • All Tennis Lessons are taught by Certified Tennis Instructors and the maximum student to instructor ratio is 6:1
  • All lessons will take place at the Prince George Tennis Club located at 2833 Recreation Place, across Ferry Avenue from the Great Canadian Superstore.
  • Interested players can register for lessons after April 21st on this site.
Age Groups / Levels
Junior
Mini Tennis
Children 6-8 years of age. Instructors use a FUN, game-filled atmosphere to introduce the basics of tennis, including racquet handling, forehand and backhand groundstrokes.
Junior Beginner Youth 8+ years of age. Participants will learn the basics of tennis: forehand and backhand ground strokes, volleys, introduction to serving and introduction to singles and doubles games. A great start to an awesome sport!
Junior Intermediate Youth 10+yrs. who have taken at least one session at the beginner level. The intermediate class will: review groundstrokes, volleys, serving, introduce participants to rules, and singles and doubles game play. The purpose of this course is to develop the consistency required to enjoy both singles and doubles, and to develop the confidence to join organized tennis activities.
Junior Competitive Is open to youth 10+ years of age who are looking to get into competing in tournaments and learning the strategy of the game. Lessons include studying opponents' strengths and weaknesses and learning how to adjust your game under different conditions like pressure and weather. The main purpose of this course is to develop the mental game needed to accompany the physical aspect of tennis.
Junior Advanced Youth 14+ yrs. Should have experience playing organized singles and doubles matches. After this course, the player will be able to practice implementing techniques and tactics against four general game styles: the retriever, the placer, the hard hitter and the net rusher. This course is intended for juniors who have participated in at least one tournament or have 4 years of lessons/playing experience behind them.
Adult
Adults (Level 1.0 - 2.5) The purpose of this course is to provide tennis for beginners and advanced lessons for adults who have already played tennis for a year or have taken a beginner adult course. The beginners will be taught basics of forehand, backhand, volleys and serving. 1.5 to 2.5 players who have 1 year of experience or more will be challenged with learning spin, direction and pace.
